Why Study Abroad?
Education abroad can help you...
• Experience communication first-hand
• Globalize your world view
• Expand your intercultural understanding and problem-solving skills
• Prepare to work in an increasingly diverse and international workplace
• Gain new insight into the world and yourself
• Increase your language skills
As a student of Communication, one of the best ways to increase your knowledge is to immerse yourself in various cultures and diverse environments. There is no substitute for the experience that a semester, year, summer or winter abroad will give you.
In the early planning stages you should attend a First Step Info Session. These are held in 207 Bradley Hall on:
Mondays and Tuesdays at 4 p.m.
Wednesdays and Thursdays at 3 p.m.
You may also drop by the Education Abroad Resource Center in 315 Bradley Hall to chat with an Education Abroad Peer Ambassador. Resource Center hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Major Advising Pages are printable PDFs with detailed information about Education Abroad for each of the majors in the College of Communication and Information.
