Pat retired as Company Group Chairman of Johnson & Johnson in 2012. He was a member of the Group Operating Committee for the Johnson & Johnson Family of Consumer Companies from 2001-2012.

Pat began his career at Johnson & Johnson in 1976 as a sales representative in the Consumer Sales Organization. He advanced through various positions in the Consumer businesses including National Sales Manager for McNeil Consumer Healthcare, Worldwide Vice President for the Oral Care Franchise, and President of the Personal Products Company. 

In 2001, Pat was promoted to Company Group Chairman for the Asia Pacific Region. He assumed a new role in 2006 leading the Global Markets Organization plus overseeing Global Sales and Supply Chain. Three years later, his role transitioned to heading the Global Baby Business Unit along with responsibility for the Digital Center of Excellence, Office of Sustainability, Global Sales, Global Strategic Insights and Baby Center. In 2011, he assumed responsibility for the US OTC, Nutritionals and Wellness and Prevention businesses.

Pat is a passionate advocate of diversity, leadership development, employee engagement and customer focus. He was the Consumer Sponsor for the Women’s Leadership Initiative and served on the Johnson & Johnson Corporate Contributions Board.

Externally, Pat represented the corporation as a Vice Chairman on the Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA) Board of Directors, Asia Society Business Council and Philadelphia Museum of Art Corporate Board. He currently serves on both the Board of the Jefferson University Cardiology Research Foundation and the National Advisory Board of the University of Kentucky College of Communication and Information.

Pat has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kentucky. Pat and his wife Ann reside in Prospect Ky.
