Speech Bid Tournaments

Speech Bid Tournaments 2018-19

NEW FOR 2018-2019: To be fully qualified in any speech event a participant needs TWO bids AND there will be no application fee to apply for an at large bid if a speech entry only has one bid.

Bids are awarded based on the actual entries in a given event:

  • If 24 or fewer competitors enter, the Top Three receive bids.
  • If 25 to 72 people compete, all Finalists receive bids.
  • If 73 or more are in an event, all Semifinalists receive bids.

NOTE--a bid in prose OR poetry counts toward qualification to the TOC in Oral Interpretation.
