Biography

Research Interest: My research focuses on how students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) respond to and share information during campus emergencies. I examine the role of students as first information responders, looking at how trust, credibility, and emotions influence the communication of crisis-related messages. By considering the cultural and social contexts of HBCUs, my work aims to inform more effective, culturally responsive crisis communication strategies in higher education.
