Biography

Research Interest: My research interests focus on health communication, with an emphasis on underrepresented populations. I am interested in bridging the gap in literature by ensuring South Asian perspectives are better represented.

I am particularly exploring areas such as:
Cultural comparisons, especially between South Asia and the U.S., and how these shape health behaviors and communication. Masculinity ideals and their influence on young male adults' help-seeking behavior, analyzing how societal norms impact their willingness to seek support. Body image dissatisfaction and body dysmorphia among young male adults across different cultures, examining the unique challenges they face. Message design, focusing on creating effective health communication strategies that are culturally relevant and resonate with specific audiences. Reproductive health and contraceptive access, with a focus on advocacy and the role of telehealth in improving services. Perceptions of prostate cancer among educated individuals, particularly in diverse cultural contexts.
