Research Interests: My research lies at the intersection of sport, media, and race. I am currently examining how fandom affects the public's perceptions of media representations of athletes involved in criminal activity. Utilizing social identity theory, I am investigating how media representations of athletes involved in criminal activity may reinforce racial stereotypes both throughout sport and society.
