Biography

Research Interest: My research focuses on health communication, with particular attention to how health misinformation influences patient–provider relationships and public trust. I am especially interested in message design, exploring how audience characteristics, cultural orientation, and argument quality shape persuasion and health information seeking in diverse contexts. My work also examines the role of emerging tools such as AI-generated fact-checking and the ways trust in automation mediates message effectiveness. Beyond health, I am also interested in investigating the influence of AI in strategic communication, particularly how automation and algorithmic systems reshape message strategies and audience engagement. Collectively, my scholarship seeks to advance communication theory and practice by addressing the intersection of persuasion, culture, ethics, and technology.
