Research Interest: My research interest focuses on how unconventional organizations such as nonprofits, healthcare organizations, and government institutions, collaborate in interorganizational networks to address social challenges, especially in health, social services, and community support for marginalized groups. I am also interested in examining and understanding how health care organizations, NGOs, and community coalitions communicate about health risks, social responsibility, and community well-being, and how their communication influence public understanding, trust, and participation. I am especially interested in how cultural frameworks, power relations, and histories of marginalization shape organizational listening and public engagement, and in how communication research approaches can be used to trace how communication practices travel across sectors and national contexts.
