Biography
Research Interest: Sekina's research interest focuses on health communication, particularly patient-provider communication, health misinformation and disinformation, mental health, and sexual and reproductive health. She is also interested in persuasion, interpersonal communication, and family communication, examining how relational dynamics influence individuals' health and mental health outcomes. Additionally, she explores the role of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), in shaping health information access, health decision-making, and public health communication. Her research employs both quantitative and qualitative methods, and selected research methods-experiments, which reflect an interdisciplinary approach that bridges academic theory and real-world impact.
