Two ISC faculty members receive national teaching awards

Two faculty members from the University of Kentucky's Department of Integrated Strategic Communication have received excellence in teaching awards from the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication. 

Associate Professor Mengtian “Montina” Jiang was awarded the 2024 AEJMC Advertising Division’s Early Career Teaching Excellence Award. This award recognizes Jiang’s innovative pedagogy and educational initiatives. The award committee unanimously selected Jiang, highlighting her significant contributions to advancing advertising education.

Additionally, Assistant Professor Elizabeth Spencer has been honored with the 2024 AEJMC Visual Communication Division's Sandy Utt Excellence in Teaching Award. This accolade recognizes Spencer’s commitment to teaching excellence and her impactful contributions to the academic community. 

Spencer also received an Honorable Mention in the 2023-2024 AEJMC Festival of Visual & Interactive Media’s Faculty Photo Essay contest.
