UK JAM TOP THREE IN HEARST PHOTOJOURNALISM

Yay, UK photogs! Both of the UK School of Journalism and Media's student entries placed in the top 20 in the national Hearst Picture Story/Series Photo II Competition. Christian Kantosky won third place and Sydney Novak finished in 11th place. Both of their stories were produced during Professor David Stephenson's Picture Kentucky Workshop in fall 2025. This is the second year in a row that the School has had both student entries make it to the Top 20 in the Hearst Picture Story category. UK placed sixth overall in the Intercollegiate Photojournalism Competition based on points from the two photo competitions. With the most current rankings, this makes three years in a row the School has placed in the top 10.
