Online Completion Programs
CI offers online bachelor’s degree completion programs in communication and information communication technology. The online degree completion programs are intended for students who:
- have already earned at least 60 hours toward their degree,
- have completed UK Core (i.e., 12 hours intellectual inquiry; six hours written, oral, visual communication; six hours quantitative reasoning and six hours citizenship),
- have been away from the University of Kentucky for at least one year (COM only),
- or who are not physically located in Lexington, Kentucky.
Online Degree Completion Program in Communication
The online degree completion program in communication is open to UK students with 60 completed credit hours who are returning to coursework after a year or students from other programs with 60 completed credit hours. The program may exercise flexibility with these eligibility requirements.
The program hosts all major courses online asynchronously, so you can work at your own pace and accommodate your schedule. Students will receive quality instruction from Kentucky’s premier university with the added flexibility of online learning. The program offers a personalized experience in many communication classes with fewer than 30 students and classes may be taken during the regular 16-week semester as well as during accelerated four- and eight-week summer sessions.

Online Degree Completion Program in Information Communication Technology
The online degree completion program in ICT is for incoming nontraditional students who have already completed a minimum of 60 hours. The program is targeted toward students who have left the university but would like to finish their degree.

This track can be completed in two to three years depending on full-time status and with asynchronous online courses that allow the flexibility to plan class schedule around other priorities. Students may transfer 60 credit hours and will complete ICT major requirements, the IS track and other University requirements completely online.

Online Graduate Degrees
CI offers two online, asynchronous master’s degrees in information communication technology and library and information science.
The ICT graduate program focuses on advancing and evolving information technology.
Graduate students in the library and information science master’s program can earn their American Library Association-accredited MSLS degree online in just 36 credit hours.

Online Graduate Certificate in Integrated Strategic Communication
