Suanne Early, Director of Student Affairs, joined our team in 2015 after nearly 15 years as an advisor for exploratory and pre-law students.  She received her M.Ed. in college student personnel services from the University of Louisville and is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation at the University of Kentucky. Suanne is active with the UK Advising Network and NACADA, the Global Community for Academic Advising, and has served in many leadership roles with these organizations. Currently she is serving on the 2019 NACADA conference steering committee and co-chair for the 2020 regional conference.  859-218-0282


Dr. Schyler Simpson, Director of Recruitment and Retention, is a proud three-time graduate of UK’s College of Communication and Information. She completed her doctoral dissertation on student perceptions of learning in academic advising in 2013. Schyler previously served the college as a graduate teaching assistant, lecturer, advisor, and recruiter.  859-257-7800


Faith N. Cracraft, Assistant Director of Student Affairs, received her B.A. in communications-public relations and M.A in youth and family ministry from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. Most recently serving as an academic advisor in the Gatton College of Business at UK, she has worked at Georgetown College as assistant dean/director for academic success and has a background in academic coaching, residence life and teaching. Faith joined the team in the summer of 2018.  859-218-0281


Kelly Cirbus, Administrative Services Assistant, received a B.A. in Communication Studies in 2015 from Baldwin Wallace University in Cleveland, Ohio. Upon graduation she worked as a Registration Specialist in the Baldwin Wallace Registrar’s department and then transitioned to an Administrative Specialist role for Athletics. In 2020 she started working in the Admissions Department at Midway University where she continues to serve her role as Head Dance Coach for their dance team. She joined the University of Kentucky and the College of Communication and Information in Spring 2021., 859-257-4839.


Rachel Dixon, Academic Advisor, received her B.A. and M.A. in communication from the College of Communication and Information's prestigious University Scholars Program. Rachel previously served the college as a student ambassador and recruiting intern.  859-218-5349


Maria Rivera, Academic Advisor, received an AS degree in computer sciences from Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola in Lima, Peru, a B.A. in Spanish, and a M.A. in Hispanic Studies from the University of Kentucky. Maria previously worked at the University of Kentucky Undergraduate Admissions and Registrar’s Office for 11 years as an admissions officer and as a registration coordinator. 


Ryan Story, Academic Advisor, is a proud two-time graduate of the University of Kentucky with his undergraduate degree in psychology and a master's degree in higher education. He started his career at UK as a graduate assistant in the CATS center with the athletic department and began full time in the transfer center in 2016. Ryan joined the College of Communication and Information Advising team in the fall of 2016.   859-218-3915


Jordan Hoehler, Academic Advisor, received a B.S. in sport administration from the University of Louisville in 2015 and a M.S. in higher education from the University of Kentucky in 2016. He previously worked as an academic services intern in the University of Louisville athletic department and an academic services assistant in the CATS center within the athletic department at the University of Kentucky. Jordan joined the College of Communication and Information advising team in the spring of 2018.  859-218-0284


Sydney Shields, Academic Advisor, received her B.A. in sociology and her M.S.Ed. in Higher Education & Student Affairs from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. Sydney previously worked in the Office of Residence Life at UK as a Resident Director before joining the College of Communication and Information advising team in the spring of 2021., 859-218-2292
