Henry S. Evans

Evans is a native of Lexington and graduate of Henry Clay High School. Selected to attend the United States Military Academy at West Point, he graduated with numerous academic and athletic honors in 1975. He served in the active US Army as an air defense commander while leading project management initiatives to field the Patriot Missile Systems.

Following his departure from active service, he joined Corning, Inc. in Harrodsburg, Kentucky as an engineering manager and eventually had the large scale corporate project for the development of flat sheet glass which is now utilized in all current color displays for LCD/Plasma televisions, medical systems, laptop computer and advanced avionics. His business career has also included senior consulting assignments involving quality management, re-engineering and supply chain initiatives with companies such as Rockwell/Lockheed Space, Kraft, Harley Davidson, Pepsi International, United Technologies and GE.

In addition, he has held executive vice president and chief operating officer positions with Anchor Glass Container, the second largest container manufacturer in the U.S. and ADVO, the nation's largest target mailing/advertising company. In the past seven years, he has been the CEO and President of two entrepreneur companies involved with logistics, fulfillment and supply chain software applications. Colonel Evans also completed 30 years of total service in the military and graduated from the Command and Staff General College. He led a U.S. Army division to the attainment of the military version of the Malcolm Baldridge award. He has served on numerous corporate and non-profit boards in Florida, Connecticut, and Kentucky.
