The College of Communication and Information’s Student Leadership Council is hosting the first ever CI Advisor Mingle and Student Organization Fair on Tuesday, February 21, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. in Lucille Little Library’s Niles Gallery and first floor lobby.

The CI Advisor Mingle and Organization Fair is designed to be the perfect “one-stop-shop” for students to learn more about the different involvement opportunities within the College of Communication and Information all while networking with CI advisors and other CI students.

“The Advisor Mingle and Organization Fair will provide an excellent opportunity to be proactive and get to know your academic advisor,” said Schyler Simpson, the College of Communication and Information’s recruiting director. “While you’re there, learn more about getting involved in one or two of our many outstanding organizations.”

The event is sponsored by the College of Communication and Information’s Student Leadership Council (SLC), a coalition of elite student leaders that serve as officers and representatives of various student organizations within the college. The SLC collaborated with Dean Dan O’Hair and supporting staff to design the Advisor Mingle and Student Organization Fair specifically to provide students with an advising networking opportunity as well as to generate awareness for each student organization represented by the College of Communication and Information.

The Advisor Mingle and Student Organization Fair is open to all majors within the College of Communication and Information, and light refreshments will be served. The SLC encourages all students to take advantage of the opportunity to attend this event.
