7th Grader is Volunteer Exemplar for Bluegrass Debate Coalition

Nishita Chaduvula started volunteering for the Bluegrass Debate Coalition (BDC) as part of her school club’s volunteer requirement. However, her time at the BDC soon morphed from an assigned obligation into an unprompted desire to help. She now serves as one of the organization’s most helpful volunteers.

UK Debate Sophomores Receive Automatic Bid to 2022 National Debate Tournament

The Kentucky Intercollegiate Debate team of sophomores David Griffith and Jordan Di has received a “first-round bid” or automatic invitation to the 2022 National Debate Tournament (NDT). Only the top 16 teams in the nation, as ranked by the National Debate Committee, receive this designation.

The Bluegrass Debate Coalition (BDC) launched in September 2020 to bring competitive debate to middle schoolers and high schoolers across Kentucky.
