Bio

Molly Burchett (M.A., 2014, University of Kentucky) is a doctoral student in the College of Communication at the University of Kentucky. Her research focuses on health and strategic communication, and her work has been published in Contemporary Case Studies in Health Communication: Theoretical & Applied Approaches, Communication Education, Journal of Palliative Medicine, and Journal of Gerontological Nursing. In addition to teaching for “Strategic Planning & Writing” in the Department of Integrated Strategic Communication at UK, Molly is a writer for Kentucky Health News and serves on the board of the Lexington Hearing and Speech Center. Prior to coming to the University of Kentucky, Molly worked for Northwestern Mutual as both a Financial Representative and Director of Development and Marketing. She also has also served as Director of Market Development for a start-up health enterprise and Strategic Initiatives Manager for Big Ass Solutions, an international manufacturing company. Molly is a recipient of the 2013-2014 Risk and Crisis Research Fellowship.
