Bio
Whittney H. Darnell is a second-year PhD student and Teaching Assistant at the University of Kentucky. She is currently working toward the completion of the Health Communication program and a Graduate Certificate in Developmental Disabilities. Whittney’s work focuses on improving the ability of patients with invisible disabilities to navigate difficult conversations related to their health and healthcare management. Her ultimate goal is to bridge research and practice together through the development of theory-based interventions that encourage and prepare patients to improve the conversational quality of their healthcare interactions in everyday life.
