Erin Hester is a Ph.D. student and instructor in strategic and persuasive communication. She joined UK after working for the Kentucky Department for Public Health on several statewide health and risk prevention campaigns. Erin is currently working on a number of projects with Drs. Bobi Ivanov and Kimberly Parker involving inoculation theory and is leading a project focused on the prevention and mitigation of poor outcomes associated with college shootings. Her research interests include persuasion, message design, social entrepreneurship, and moral decision making.
