Each fall, JAM Fest provides students in the School of Journalism and Media an opportunity to learn more about the School and its programs. Featuring information stations staffed by student groups and UK student media, cool JAM swag, drone demonstrations, and pizza and soft drinks, JAM Fest gives current students in journalism and media arts and studies, as well as undecided majors, the chance to meet with School faculty and learn about the wide range of courses offered by the School and career choices in mass media industries following graduation.
Student representatives from WRFL-FM, the Society of Professional Journalists campus chapter, the National Association of Black Journalists campus chapter, the CI Gamers Club, KRNL Lifestyle and Fashion Magazine and the Kentucky Kernel and others promote their organizations and encourage students to get involved.
