Pam Edwards

Pam began with JAM in April 2022 after serving as the Projects Manager for the College of Agriculture, Food and Environment at the University of Kentucky. A native of West Virginia, she has lived in Florida, California, South Carolina, Guam, Oklahoma, Virginia and Kentucky.
She has a Library and Information Science degree (MSLS) from the University of Kentucky with a focus on archives and historical information management.  Her B.A. in Journalism was originally broadcasting focused but changed to magazine writing and production with a and public relations specialty. She received her B.A. from Marshall University where she wrote for The Parthenon campus newspaper, was editor of the Chief Justice yearbook, served as a disc jockey for WMUL-FM 88.1 radio, and wrote/reported for the MU Report television newscast.
Her career background includes marketing/management of fair and exposition centers, marketing director for UK’s dining services, production manager for Thoroughbred Times and Thoroughbred Publications, and public relations/communications manager for The United States Pony Clubs and the Pyramid Society. She has also served as an archivist for Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Advertising Sales Manager for the Georgetown News & Times, and newsletter editor for the Kentucky Aviation Museum.
Pam has been awarded the Certified Fair Executive designation by the International Association of Fairs and Expositions and has won numerous awards for special event planning, graphic design, and public relations/marketing/advertising campaigns.
She enjoys graphic design and writing articles for newspapers and magazines. Her goals are to write children’s books and articles on the experiences and knowledge she has gained as a family genealogist.
