Things to do

What's it like in Lexington? It's great (at least we think so). Here's some information that can help you make the most out of your time in Lexington, courtesy of the Lexington Visitors Center:

Below are a few specific recommendations of locations and events that may be of interest to conference attendees:

  • The Arboretum, State Botanical Garden of Kentucky: The Arboretum is the state’s botanical garden. The 100 acres include the Walk Across Kentucky which includes plants and trees from Kentucky’s seven physiographic regions, The Arboretum Woods, rose gardens, horticulture display gardens and the Kentucky Children’s Garden. Located on the grounds of the University of Kentucky.
  • The University of Kentucky Art Museum: The University of Kentucky Art Museum is located at the Singletary Center for the Arts at the corner of Rose and Euclid, amidst our conference activities. An impressive permanent collection is augmented by special traveling exhibits. Admission is free.
  • Lexington Opera House: Lovingly restored to its 1887 glory, the Lexington Opera House offers something for everyone: ballet, opera, children's productions, family shows, comedy, music and national Broadway tours.
