Kercsmar to participate in 2017 Women's Executive Leadership Development (WELD) program

Dr. Kercsmar is a faculty member in the Instructional Communication & Research division of UK SIS. She is the program coordinator for the CIS Composition & Communication sequence at UK. In 2015, she was the recipient of the Provost’s Outstanding Teaching Faculty Award.

The School of Information Science is proud to announce that Dr. Sarah Kercsmar (Instructional Communication & Research) will be joining the participating staff and faculty of the 2017 Women's Executive Leadership Development (WELD) program. WELD supports the advancement of women in leadership positions at the University of Kentucky and works to develop insights into the unique challenges faced by those women. WELD is an eight month long program (more information on their website).

"I look forward to the opportunity to network and learn with women from across campus as part of WELD.  After almost 10 years of working at UK, I’m excited to learn more about the nuts and bolts of academic leadership," says Kercsmar.

UK SIS congratulates Dr. Kercsmar on her acceptance to the WELD program.
