Scholarships and Funding Opportunities

  • This summer, Cornell Information Science is hosting a research Summer School on Designing Technology for Social Impact (, targeted to graduate students and rising seniors who are underrepresented minorities. The program runs from June 18th-June 22nd, 2018 on our campus in Ithaca, NY. It is fully funded and provides for all travel costs from a home or internship, lodging and meals for student participants. Any student can apply for these programs, though we target underrepresented minorities. The application can be accessed here: or from the program website. Experiential Opportunities and Career Development

  • If your resume ready for the upcoming career fairs? Stop by the CI Resume Workshop on Tuesday, Feb. 20 from 10am-2pm in Grehan 107, Student Services Center. 
  • The College of Commnication and Information invites you to apply to become a member of its Student Ambassador program. The CI Student Ambassador program is a great opportunity to build connections within the college, as well as build relationships with future CI students. From traveling around to different cities to campus visits, the opportunity to represent the College of Communication and Information allows you to connect one-on-one with students and families who are interested in UK and our CI College.   • The Information Communication Technology Student Association (ICTSA) meets Thursday, Feb. 15 at 5 p.m. in LCLI 314. Please contact or Dr. Renee Kaufmann, ICTSA faculty adviser, if you have questions or are interested in joining! 

Job Openings

  • Student Worker: Information Technology position available in the College of Health Sciences. This position helps with inventory, surplus, and purchasing for the department. This position compiles lists and submits requests for surplus equipment. It also helps with the annual capital inventory process with scanning and finding equipment in CHS departments. This position also has some light administrative duties. Click here for more info:

Academic Advising and Support 

  • The School of Information Science will begin processing Summer 2018 applications and learning contracts for ICT 596 on Wednesday, Mar. 21. The deadline to complete the required reading, certify that you are eligible, and to notify the School that you will participate in a Summer internship is May 8. Learning contracts should be completed and submitted to by May 15.
