Dr. Seungahn Nah (Associate Professor, Information Communication Technology) has been selected to participate in the Bluegrass Higher Education Consortium’s 2016 Academic Leadership Academy as a fellow.

Mark your calendars for research and pizza: the School of Information Science will have a new lunch and learn series this Spring, SIS Talks!

There will be three presenters this Spring from across the School. The talks are organized by Dr. Seungahn Nah (ICT).

Nah Receives Funding for Nonprofit Awareness and Engagement Project

 

Dr. Seungahn Nah (Associate Professor, Information Communication Technology) has received a funding for his diversity proposal submitted to the CI Diversity Committee. Dr. Nah's proposal is entitled "The Nonprofit Awareness and Engagement Project (NAEP)," a community service learning project that will be part of the  ICT 390 Social Media and Society: The Nonprofit Sector special topics course.

Meet Prof. David Nemer

Dr. David Nemer joined the School’s Information Commu­nication Technology program this fall as Assistant Profes­sor. Prof. Nemer earned a PhD at the Indiana University School of Informatics and Computing. His specialization in the doc­toral program was social informatics and minor was infor­mation science, and his dissertation title is Rethinking Digital Inequalities: the experience of the marginalized in community technology centers.

Dr. C. Sean Burns (Assistant Professor, Library Science and Information Communication Technology, UK School of Information Science) has been named the 2016 recipient of The Association for Library and Information Science (ALISE) Norman Horrocks Leadership Award.

Pizza & Research Seminar: Kim Discusses Scientists' Data-Sharing and Reuse

On wednesday October 14th, Dr. Youngseek Kim (Assistant Professor, Library Science) will be the next presenter in the College of Communication and Information's research seminar series.

Dr. Kim's research presentation is entitled Scientists' Data Sharing and Reuse: A Multilevel Analysis.
