Where has your CI degree taken you?:
My Ci degree has taken me across the country and around the world! My degree has given me a strong foundation that I have used to successfully run my own communications consulting business since 2004.
What is your favorite thing about your job?:
I love the variety; every day is different, and I get to use different muscles. For example, I’m in California now facilitating a series of roundtable discussions. Later this month I’ll be leading speaker training workshops, and I just wrote three calendars that you’ll see on the market in 2020.
What¹s the most valuable thing you learned in CI?:
My CI instructors and fellow students challenged me and inspired me and ultimately gave me tremendous confidence in my own abilities. That sense of community remains with me today.
What advice would you give to current CI students?:
Be curious and explore. I entered college with a very definite idea of what I wanted from my degree, and left with a totally different career plan. Don’t be afraid of change.
