2022 master’s of library science alumni Susanne Evette McKinney was named a finalist for the Presidential Management Fellowship Program in February 2023, and in June, was appointed to a position with the United States Agency for International Development for the fellowship’s two-year term. McKinley is one of only two fellows for this term that possess an advanced degree in library science.
The PMF Program is highly selective, with only one in 10 applicants being chosen for a two-year fellowship. The fellowship is intended to partner advanced degree graduate students with federal employment opportunities in a variety of federal agencies from the Department of Defense to the Library of Congress. Fellows get a unique opportunity to jumpstart their career while providing their diverse and insightful skillset to advance the program with their partnered agency.
