Interested in an equine journalism career? There’s a summer internship waiting for you at BloodHorse, a publication that has chronicled the Thoroughbred industry since 1916 and is the leading news platform covering horse racing, sales and breeding.
The paid summer internship will include work with the BloodHorse editorial department on its monthly magazine, website, BloodHorse Daily newsletter, and BH+ video platform. Interns will be given the opportunity to have published, byline work. Tasks further include periodic on-site participation in editorial coverage at major Kentucky racetracks such as Keeneland and Churchill Downs.
This internship, based in Lexington, is paid ($15/hour) and extends over an 11-week period starting in late May and ending in early August. It’s open to students enrolled in a college or university or who have graduated within one academic year of the start of the internship.
