JAM faculty member wins Silver Award in AEJMC Faculty Photography contest

David Stephenson, associate professor in the School of Journalism and Media, won the Silver Award for Faculty Photography for a Single Photo in the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication's (AEJMC) Festival of Visual & Interactive Media.

Six journalists whose work has driven reform, preserved history, shaped public opinion and chronicled the defining moments of life in Kentucky and across the globe have been selected for induction into the Kentucky Journalism Hall of Fame.

His company, co-founded with Kaelaan Maynor, helps people, employers and benefit partners navigate disability and leave with clarity, speed and financial stability. Brown and Maynor's partnership eventually landed them on the 2026 Forbes 30 Under 30 Social Impact list.
