Research Fellowships

Student members of the Graduate Programs of Communication engaged in scholarly research are encouraged to join the Research Fellows program. This program is designed to recognize graduate student research work in a chosen communication area of interest, which may or may not closely match the primary areas of specialization in the Graduate Programs of Communication. To earn the status of a Research Fellow, a graduate student is required to do the following:

  • *  Complete 40 hours of voluntary research on a scholarly research project directed by a faculty member.
  • *  Present a paper associated with the project at a national conference.
  • Submit a manuscript associated with the project to a refereed journal. Papers and journal submissions may be
  •    co-authored with faculty members and other graduate students.
