The MSLS degree track in the Library Science program is accredited by the American Library Association.

The program of study in library and information science is one of approximately 50 educational programs in the United States currently accredited by the American Library Association. It is the only such program in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Accredited programs adhere to a set of educational requirements and standards, and voluntarily undergo a self-study and review process every five years. Our most recent self-study was during the 2021-22 academic year, and we were reaccredited in 2022.
