ISC 399 Internship Process

 

1. Find an internship
   1. Review the Handshake platform (link to: https://studentsuccess.uky.edu/stuckert-career-center/handshake)
   2. Look for emails from the ISC Department
   3. Review the CI Internship and Job Opportunities page: (link to: https://ci.uky.edu/students/career-readiness/internship-and-job-opportu…)
   4. Talk with Brooke Nowicki, College of Communication and Information Career Coordinator
   5. Find one on your own!
      1. If you do find an internship outside of UK platforms, the employer must complete a questionnaire to be approved as a site. (link to: https://ci.uky.edu/isc/students/internships/employers)
2. Review “Must-Read” webpage
   1. (link to: https://ci.uky.edu/isc/students/internships/must-read-internships)
3. Complete ISC 399 Internship Verification Form and Application
4. Wait for Approval Email from ISC Internship Coordinator
5. Complete Learning Contract
   1. Instructions will come in Approval Email
6. Site Supervisor Approval of Learning Contract
7. ISC Department Approval of Learning Contract
8. Fulfill course requirements for ISC 399
