Trish Hunter Shannon
Biography
Patricia "Trish" Hunter Shannon is a news reporter and weekend anchor at WVLK radio and a contributor to WHAS radio. She specializes in radio content, radio sync production and full feature documentary production. Shannon most recently produced “From Worst to First, the True Story of Z-100 NY” and signed a sales and distribution deal with Gunpowder and Skye. She has also worked as a public relations and marketing professional for Hyatt Hotels Corporation in Kentucky, Florida and New York.
In her free time, Shannon volunteers for the Breast Cancer Alliance Board, the NY PetRescue Board, and the Blythdale Children’s Hospital fundraiser. She enjoys playing both golf and tennis, reading and watching UK basketball games.
Shannon graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky School of journalism in 1977, where she interned for WVLK radio and WTVQ in Lexington and was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority.
