The Student Media Depot @ The HUB is located in the basement of William T. Young Library and provides access to recording equipment and space, editing stations with specialized multimedia software and technical support for students’ development of their academic media projects.

Students can receive free tutoring for communication projects in any form for any course, including research papers, essays, lab reports, presentations, infographics, ePortfolios and iPad- related projects. Learn more here.

The Statistics Tutoring Center (STC) provides free tutoring for students enrolled in STA 210 and STA 296. The tutors are graduate students in statistics who are currently teaching or assisting in these classes.

The STC offers both online and in-person hours.  The in-person hours are in the Multidisciplinary Science Center (MDS) 327R. The online hours are in a Canvas conference (Big Blue Button) in a dedicated Canvas shell.

This is a drop-in service that is first come, first served. Please note that students are expected to come prepared, i.e. they should be attending class, reading assigned material, etc. before seeking support. The tutors do not complete assignments for students, but offer guidance.

Financial Resources

The Basic Needs Hub is here to assist students with resources they may need while at UK, including food, housing and financial security. For more information, please visit their website.

Initiated as an avenue of assistance to help students who are having financial difficulties at UK, the Financial Ombud works one-on-one with students and parents to identity and resolve financial problems affecting payment of tuition and fees. For more information, please visit their website.
