JAM FACULTY PRESENT RESEARCH AT ICA

JAM faculty members Deborah Chung, Kyra Hunting and Yung Soo Kim represented the School at this year's International Communication Association conference held in Gold Coast, Australia.

Chung and Kim presented their papers "Witnessing a War: War Photographers Documenting the Russia-Ukraine War" and "Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Local Community Newsroom: A Statewide Assessment in the U.S.," co-authored with fellow JAM faculty member Benjy Hamm and ISC faculty member Hyun Ju Jeong. Kim also served as discussant at the session "Visual Intersections: Body, Politics, Images." Hunting presented her paper "Growing Up in A Winx: Reworking a Children’s Text for a Teen Audience" at the session "Production, Precarity and Exploitation in Creative Work," which she also moderated.
