The Burl, a live music venue in the historic Lexington Distillery District, is looking for a motivated sound engineer intern to join its team and gain hands-on experience in live audio production. The internship offers an excellent opportunity to learn from experienced professionals while supporting audio operations across diverse live music events. Key responsibilities include technical setup and operations. 

The ideal intern will assist with loading, setup and breakdown of audio equipment including microphones, cables, monitors, mixing consoles and PA systems. There will be live event support, equipment maintenance and administrative coordinator involved in the position. A strong interest in live sound engineering and audio production as well as an understanding of audio equipment and signal flow are helpful. The company wants a good communicator and team player who pays attention to detail and can solve problems. Work will happen on evenings, weekends and other hours based on event schedules.
