The Energy and Mineral Law Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Lexington, seeks interns to work with the staff to develop and implement marketing and communications strategies (social media, direct mail and web), to develop a specific marketing plan for all events during the internship period, to design and present new social media campaign ideas as well as write copy for social media posts, promotional emails and more. This could include assisting in the creation of video and image content for marketing channels. An intern will update and maintain the website, including management of SEO. The will work with speakers and authors to develop educational material, coordinator presentations and create handouts and other written materials. They also could be asked to coordinate event registration and communication with attendees prior to events and assist staff with daily administrative tasks.

The Energy and Mineral Law Foundation would like a self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills who has the ability to work independently and within a group. Familiarity with major social media platforms, proficiency in Microsoft Office are needed. Photo, image and video editing and graphic design skills are a plus. Previous experience with Canva, WordPress, Adobe Creative Cloud and social media management also are helpful.
