UK College of Communication and Information photo/video
The College of Communication and Information is hiring a student photographer/videographer to support the College’s Marketing Communications team in visually documenting College events and completing other College-level photo and video projects.
This position includes the following responsibilities:
- Photograph CI students, alumni, faculty and staff as needed for social media, news releases, College website, College magazine and any additional photo projects
- Film interviews and b-roll for College video projects
- Attend College events to capture photo and video
- Edit photos and videos according to UKPR and College brand standards
- Assist in organizing and maintaining the College’s digital asset library
- Update and track progress in Asana
- Collaborate with Marketing Communications staff members and interns to ensure well-rounded visuals
Candidates must be a current UK undergraduate student with efficient skills in camera operation, photography techniques and photo/video editing software. Preference given to students in the College of Communication and Information, but all majors are encouraged to apply. Candidates should be well organized, able to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced team environment. Students are encouraged to think creatively and pitch their original ideas.
The paid position is offered in person up to 10 hours a week as needed throughout the semester. Some times may be busier than others, and the schedule will be set based on the needs/events happening that week as well as class schedules. Night and weekend hours may be needed, according to event schedule.
This is an approved site for JAM 399 and ISC 399 credit but is open to any College of Communication and Information student, regardless of internship status.
