UK College of Communication and Information PR intern

The College of Communication and Information is hiring a public relations intern to assist a current team of seven in content creation and strategic branding for the College.

This position includes the following responsibilities:

  • Scheduling regular content for the College’s social media accounts
  • Writing press releases about news within the College
  • Designing visually pleasing and consistent graphics, posters, digital displays in Canva
  • Following branding guidelines set forth by UKPR and Marketing
  • Tracking engagement analytics on various social media platforms
  • Updating the College’s website using Drupal
  • Documenting status updates and assignments via Asana
  • Completing other duties as assigned by the Communications Manager

Candidates must be a College of Communication and Information student with exceptional writing skills, be well organized/able to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced team environment. Interns are encouraged to think creatively and pitch their original ideas. The position is offered in person 10 hours/week and is paid. Preference given to those who can commit to Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters or beyond.

This is an approved site for COM 399, JAM 399 and ISC 399 credit, but is open to any College of Communication and Information student, regardless of internship status.
