UK Libraries (marketing and graphic design)

Hone your marketing and communications skills with the UK Libraries Marketing and Graphic Design Internship. The paid internships allow students to use their creativity and passion for graphic design, digital marketing and multimedia production while working hands-on with the libraries’ digital and print platforms. This internship also can be used for JAM 399: Internships credit for students who qualify.

Students will put their imaginations and technical skills to use to help:
  • Produce unique written, visual and multimedia content for UK Libraries’ web and social media channels
  • Create promotional and informational graphics, flyers, signs and digital displays
  • Develop effective strategies to connect and engage with UK students and community members while building the UK Libraries’ brand
Interns will gain professional work experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, other design and video editing programs as well as current and emerging social media platforms.

Applications for the 2025-26 academic year are now open through April 30. Using the UK online employment portal, applicants will also need to submit:
  • Resume
  • Cover letter
  • Samples of creative work used in a marketing context

Internships last through the academic year and may begin as early as June. For additional information, please contact the UK Libraries Marketing & Communications Department at ukl.marketing@uky.edu
