The University of Kentucky Office of Public Relations and Marketing is looking for several interns to work across its units for the upcoming fall and spring semesters. Most positions are unpaid, but they do qualify for your JAM 399: Internships credit for students who are eligible. UK Public Relations and Strategic Communications is looking for interns to work with the UK PR main campus and medical campus teams. Job duties include writing press releases, features, announcements, fact sheets, health columns and Q&As; generating and pitching original story ideas; media tracking and reporting; interviewing and transcribing; assisting with press events and other tasks as needed. AP Style knowledge required. Interested applicants should send an email with a résumé and two writing samples to Lindsay Travis at lindsay.travis@uky.edu. Individual instruction and mentoring will be a part of this experience. This internship is unpaid.
