The University of Kentucky Office of Public Relations and Marketing is looking for several interns to work across its units for the upcoming fall and spring semesters. Most positions are unpaid, but they do qualify for your JAM 399: Internships credit for students who are eligible. Internships available with UK Public Relations and Strategic Communications’ video team. We tell the university’s story to the rest of the world. Students would work with three full-time video team members on telling stories about the people and programs that make up the university community. Students would also assist in administrative messaging, live streamed studio content, producing content for the university’s podcast, Behind the Blue, producing content for the university’s various social media platforms and video content for marketing campaigns. Students need to have basic camera and editing skills. Interested applicants should send an email with a résumé and examples of their video storytelling to Steve Shaffer at steve.shaffer@uky.edu. Individual instruction and mentoring will be a part of this experience.
