UK Sports Network (social media)

https://ukathletics.com/uk-sports-network/

Looking to jump start a career in social media? This internship gives you real-world experience running social for a major college athletics brand — no prior experience required. If you have a great attitude, strong work ethic, and enthusiasm for creating sports content, this role is for you.

UK Sports Network is seeking creative, energetic students to help bring Kentucky Athletics to life on Instagram, X, TikTok, and Facebook. You’ll work hands-on with live game updates, short-form video content, and social campaigns that engage Big Blue Nation fans.

While a love for UK sports is a bonus, the most important thing is your passion for social media storytelling, your willingness to learn, and your ability to contribute ideas that resonate with fans. You’ll gain practical skills and build a portfolio that sets you up for a future in digital media.

Your content will be featured across UK Sports Network platforms, reaching an audience of more than 200,000 social followers and living on UKSNAllAccess.com.

This internship is available for course credit. Both paid and unpaid positions are available depending on qualifications and department needs.

• Pitch creative content ideas and storylines tailored for each platform
• Monitor and capitalize on relevant social media trends in a way that aligns with brand strategy
• Write compelling captions and copy that drive engagement and conversation
• Track performance metrics and contribute ideas based on analytics and audience behavior
• Collaborate with producers, videographers, and on-air talent to identify social-first opportunities
