David T. Thompson

Biography

David T. Thompson has served the last 38 years as executive director of the Kentucky Press Association. He lived his dream job from 1979 until September 1983 as publisher and editor of the Georgetown News and Times. Thomas was inducted into the Kentucky Journalism Hall of Fame in 2006 and received the Al Smith Award for Public Service in 2019. He graduated from the UK School of Journalism in 1974.
