This fellowship is awarded to an incoming doctoral student who has received an assistantship and is focusing on behavioral communications, especially mass or health communication. Donohew retired from UK in 1999, after nearly 35 years of service, during which time he worked tirelessly to promote and enhance the field of health communication.
