Where has your CI degree taken you?:

My career spans over many industries and fields. I have worked in postsecondary education, consumer goods and technology, and now have a career in state government. I have done everything from event planning to developing comprehensive public relations and marketing campaigns, creating community outreach programs, holding press conferences and working with the media on behalf of the Governor. I am also the owner of Reform Pilates, a small business in downtown Lexington.

What is your favorite thing about your job?:

My job provides a way for me to give back to my community and a way to create positive change through communication. Serving and helping others is near and dear to my heart.

What¹s the most valuable thing you learned in CI?:

The old saying, “It takes a village,” is true. No idea is just one person’s idea. It takes teamwork to make the dream work. It is important to always share the credit and the success.

What advice would you give to current CI students?:

Love what you do. Be passionate. Challenge yourself. Encourage others. If you ever find yourself going to work each day just to get a paycheck, find a new job.
