Where has your CI degree taken you?:
Although I am still on campus, my CI degree has opened many doors for me and my career. I made so many connections within the college and across campus as a student that are even more important to me now as an employee of UK.
What is your favorite thing about your job?:
I love that no day is the same. I also love getting to share the amazing things UK is doing on campus, in Kentucky, in the United States and around the world! There are so many incredible things happening here and I love being a part of it.
What¹s the most valuable thing you learned in CI?:
This sounds like an obvious answer, but the importance of communication. I enjoyed learning about communication methods and theories. The input and output of communication is different for everyone. We all have a unique way we talk, listen, text and post. Learning and understanding this emphasized for me the importance of clear, concise communication.
What advice would you give to current CI students?:
Step out of your comfort zone. Don’t be afraid to try new things, talk to your classmates, join an organization. The UK experience is what you make of it. There are so many opportunities here. I promise, there’s something just for you. If you need help finding what that is, I’m happy to help.
