Where has your CI degree taken you?:
While in college my CI degree took me physically to London, England where I studied abroad for the winter session. That program inspired me in more ways than I can explain and has stayed with me through every job since graduating. Post college my CI Degree has brought new opportunity and a variety of skills that translate into my everyday work environment, being an excellent communicator is essential in the marketing world.
What is your favorite thing about your job?:
My favorite aspect of working at Russell Capital Management is building a story and investing in our interns. In marketing, the brand you’re developing is more than goods & services. There is a beating heart behind each brand and the best part of my job is helping people see ours while creating memorable experiences. Additionally, investing in young professionals is something I am passionate about and have worked to develop through our Marketing Internship Program here at Russell Capital Management.
What¹s the most valuable thing you learned in CI?:
While studying in England we visited AMV BBDO, a top agency in the UK. During that visit we met incredible people and saw everything the agency had to offer. The conversations and experience there gave me a sense of empowerment to keep striving for impact in every opportunity, to tell stories well and to build off the creativity that surrounds us every day. Those are all things you can’t learn in a class room but have influence for years to come.
What advice would you give to current CI students?:
Work hard and be grateful, you’re not entitled to anything. Test your limits academically, travel abroad (often), discover your own passions, and never know a stranger. There is power in community and connections, you can learn from every person you meet.
