Rise Up Sports Media, a Kentucky company, is seeking a sports content creator intern highlighting everyone from women in the sports business to amateur athletes. Led by professional photographer Tonia Witt, Rise Up Sports Media is looking to grow and expand its social media presence on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and other platforms.  Witt is always looking to expand ways to promote female athletes as well as offer opportunities for those wanting to grow their skills in sports media and marketing.

Skills needed for the sports content creator internship include the ability to write and create content for social media as well as the magazine. The ideal candidate would be self-motivated, be an excellent communicator and be willing to share and exchange ideas.  Examples of responsibilities include assisting with social media and email campaigns, growing the company via search engine optimization, collecting and reporting data from marketing campaigns, managing databases and more.

The company also is seeking a marketing specialist for Rise Up Sports and Rise Up Sportswear. That role includes creating ad copy and managing messaging across multiple platforms as well as developing data-driven advertising strategies.

These positions, which are available in fall, spring and summer semesters, is approved for JAM 399 course credit for students in Journalism and Media Arts and Studies for those who qualify.
