
Biography
Research Interest: Research focus explores the intersection of school climate and school safety through the lens of organizational communication. Using qualitative methods, I examine how educators and stakeholders make sense of their environments, guided by sensemaking theory and the communication theory of resilience. This study investigates multiple dimensions of school climate, including instructional communication and other contextual factors shaping the experiences of Kentucky school communities. The goal is to uncover how communication practices influence perceptions of safety and climate within educational organizations.
